Background

I hold a Bachelor's degree from UBC, where I studied English (Language and Literature) with a minor in Political Science. That background shapes how I approach storytelling by prioritizing clarity, structure, and the human side of sport.

Before journalism, I spent more than a decade as a competitive swimmer. That experience still informs my reporting by giving me a firsthand understanding of discipline, performance, and the mental side of the game.

Reporting Approach

My work has been recognized with the Mazurin Award for the documentary Return to the Creek. I have covered local sports and community stories across British Columbia, building experience in reporting, interviewing, and multimedia production across radio, television, and digital platforms.

I am also exploring the intersection of sport and data, building a structured analysis platform focused on decision-making and performance.

I am interested in a career in sports media that goes beyond surface-level coverage, telling stories that capture not just what happens, but what it means.
